New Gain Matched Pair of Psvane 12AX7-S Art Series Gold Pins Vacuum Tubes

The Psvane 12AX7-S is part of their new Art Series from Psvane. The much loved 12AX7-T MKII has been upgraded with better materials to improve the sound. You can expect a very rich, detailed and warm sound from these tubes, even better than its predecessor. This tube has gold-clad pins for the utmost conductivity and longevity between tube swapping.

A Note on Psvane Packaging & Matching

You are most likely familiar with seeing Psvane tubes sold in proprietary Psvane packaging, factory tested, and/or matched in pre-made sets. In order to provide a wider variety of sets (including singles), we hand-test and match all models that we carry in-house. We test and/or match by Gm, Ip (plate current) and/or gain with a maximum range of +/- 15% on modern Maxi-Matcher testers. While 15% is our maximum, we strive for 5% when possible. This ensures that we are able to match to our high standards. These tubes come boxed individually.

    The perfect set of tubes for my PL EVO 100 DAC

    Patience and perseverance have a magical effect on these tubes. It took a little while before these tubes opened up and come alive. I kept switching back to some of my other favorite tubes and finally, I decided to leave these tubes in my PL EVO 100 DAC to give them some time to open up. The results were so stunning. The clarity of the detail became so profound, more than any other tubes I have experienced with this DAC. Note: All test results of any tubes were done with the following audio gear. My audio gear: PL EVO 100 DAC, highly modified LAMM preamp, PL EVO 300i with KT150 tubes, and Sennheiser HD 820 cans.

    PSVANE Quieter than a 7025 and Richer

    I"ve had a Pro-ject tube box S2 about 6 weeks, and originally put a set of the in, swapped out after a week, and replaced with Mullard 7025. Felt the Mullards were perfect and after 3 weeks, of almost daily play, decided to go back to the Psvanne 12AX7's and immediately recognized a quieter background especially on the R Channel; which had been a bit noise than the left, and just a more even, warm High's and Mids, and controlled base. The difference is subtle, and I would have been happy with the 7025s long term, but i can seea more confident, dynamic and even presentation by the Psvane 12AX7-S ECC83 Art Series! My end-game tube!

    I am using 4 of these in my phono preamp which is set up for a Hana ML moving coil cartridge. Very nice rich sound with great detail and bass. Good in all aspects to my ear. Sounds better than the Psvane AU7 Tii or even the telefunken,and Valvo NOS tubes I was using. I highly recommend these tubes!
